ACC seizes Tk2.45 crore from house of ex-DGFI chief

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has seized Tk2.45 crore from the house of former DGFI director general Lt Gen Saiful Alam at cantonment.

ACC Director General Akter Hossain revealed the development at a press briefing on Sunday.

An ACC team raided the house of Saiful Alam on 27 February and recovered the abnormally large sum of money.

The seized amount has already been submitted before the court, ACC chief Akter Hossain told reporters.

On 11 September last year, the Army sent Saiful Alam into forced retirement. He assumed the role of DGFI chief during the tenure of Awami League government.
