'20mn cubic feet gas being extracted every day from Tobgi-1 well of Bhola'

State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid has said 20 million cubic feet gas is being extracted every day from Tobgi-1 well of Shahbajpur in Bhola.   

The state minister revealed this information at a press conference at the Secretariat in the capital on Thursday.

Nasrul Hamid said it would be possible to extract 20million cubic feet gas from Tobgi-1 per day. The estimated value will be Tk 8,000 crore if it is counted at Tk 11 at consumer level.  

The price would be higher if it is counted as LNG, he said. 

Nasrul Hamid said the drilling of two wells--Elisha-1 and Bhola North-2--will be completed by June next year, he said. 

Some 55 million cubic feet gas will be extracted from these two wells, he hoped.
