Dialogue can be held as per constitutional obligations: Home minister

An unconditional dialogue on holding the next general election in a free and fair manner can take place in light of the constitution, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal categorically said on Wednesday.

“Our prime minister has already turned down the possibility of dialogue with the BNP. But the door is still open for those who want to sit down for an unconditional dialogue within constitutional obligations,” he said.  

Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal made the remark after a meeting with newly appointed British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke at the Secretariat in the capital on Wednesday.
