PM to inaugurate Metro Rail's Agargaon-Motijheel part on Nov 4


Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to inaugurate the metro rail service, covering the Agargaon to Motijheel section on November 4.

Initially, the metro rail on the Agargaon-Motijheel section will be operated for four hours with three stations Farmegate, Bangladesh Secretariat and Motijheel.

The rest of the stations will be opened in phases, said MAN Siddique, managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company while talking to reporters at Probashi Kallyan Bhaban in Dhaka on Wednesday.

After the inauguration, the prime minister will travel to Motijheel by the metro rail on the day, he said adding that the prime minister may also inaugurate the construction work of the MRT Northern route on the same day.

Dhaka commuters can travel from Agargaon to Motijheel between 7:30 am and 11:30 am from November 5 as the metro rail service will remain closed on November 4 on this occasion.
