Hasina gets global women's leadership award

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be honored with the Global Women’s Leadership Award for her outstanding leadership in advancing women education and women entrepreneurs in Bangladesh, Asia and Asia-pacific region.

The award, a lifetime honor, will be conferred to Sheikh Hasina by US-based NGO Global Summit of Women in Sydney during her next visit to Australia, Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali said at a media briefing on Tuesday.

The prime minister is scheduled to visit Australia from Apr 26 to Apr 28 at the invitation of her counterpart Malcolm Turnbull.
