12 thousand liters of fuel found at the pump displaying a 'No Oil' banner
A mobile court in Shibganj, Chapainawabganj, fined Nayan Filling Station 10,000 BDT on Saturday (March 28) for creating an artificial fuel crisis.
Despite displaying a banner claiming to be out of stock, an executive magistrate's raid revealed a hidden reserve of 2,489 liters of petrol and 10,941 liters of diesel.
Executive Magistrate Sabbir Ahmed Robel conducted the operation in the Pukhuria area based on a tip-off and penalized the establishment under the Consumer Rights Protection Act, 2009. The station was ordered to resume sales immediately to alleviate public distress caused by the hoarding.
