The government is determined to build a merit-based administration: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman emphasized the necessity of a merit-based, efficient, and people-centric public administration to build a prosperous Bangladesh.

Speaking at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the third building of the BIAM Foundation in New Eskaton on Saturday, April 25, 2026, the Prime Minister stated that the current government is committed to developing creative and responsible human resources.

He noted that the mass uprising of July-August 2024 reaffirmed that the people are the true owners of the state, demanding an accountable and justice-based governance system.

He urged civil servants to prioritize professional training and transform themselves into true servants of the public to meet the nation's expectations.
