ACC quizzes ex-health secretary over corruption in health sector

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has interrogated former health secretary Asadul Islam, who is currently serving as senior secretary in the planning ministry, as part of its inquiry into corruption in the country's health sector.

A team, led by Sayeed Mahbub Khan, quizzed Asadul Islam from 10 am to 11 am at his office in the capital on Monday.

During the interrogation, ACC Director Mir Mohammad Zainul Abedin Shibli, the head of N95 mask, PPE scam probe team, ACC Director Sheikh Md Fanafillah, the head of Regent scam probe team and ACC Deputy Director Selina Akhter Moni, the head of JKG probe team, were present.

After the interrogation, they avoided the media to disclose anything about the interrogation.
