DNCC begins combing operation for tax collection

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has begun combing operation experimentally in all wards of Mirpur-2 (DNCC’s region-2) and Karwan Bazar (DNCC’s region-5) with a view to increasing collection of revenues.

DNCC mayor Md Atiqul Islam launched the drive from the councillor’s office of Mohammadpur 33 number ward at 11:00am on Tuesday.   

The mayor said, “ There are all kinds of establishments including houses, offices and business organisations under the DNCC and we will go door to door. We will enhance the amount of revenue through this drive. The online tax collection will begin from January 1, 2021.” 

Stating that owners of all kinds of illegal establishments like large billboards, signboards will come under tax net, DNCC mayor Atiqul hoped that those involved with such malpractices will not do the same in the days to come.
