'Nagad' gave 1.382 billion Taka in revenue to the postal department


The mobile financial service provider Nagad handed over a revenue-share check to the Bangladesh Post Office for the period of January 2024 to June 2025 during a ceremony at the Post Office headquarters in Agargaon on Tuesday (March 24). According to the partnership agreement, the Post Office receives 51% of the revenue, while Nagad Limited retains 49%. Since its inception in 2019, Nagad has contributed a total of 14.61 crore BDT to the government exchequer across various installments. Director General of the Post Office, Kazi Asadul Islam, praised Nagad for fostering competition and driving the country toward a cashless economy. With a current average daily transaction volume of nearly 1,500 crore BDT, Nagad continues to be a key player in Bangladesh's digital financial revolution.
