UAE expresses solidarity, condolences over Dhaka jet crash tragedy
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has expressed its solidarity with Bangladesh following Monday’s deadly crash of a Bangladesh Air Force jet into a school campus in Dhaka, which left multiple people dead and many others injured.
In a statement issued by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Gulf nation conveyed its sincere condolences to the victims’ families, the interim government, and the people of Bangladesh.
The ministry also wished a speedy recovery for those injured in the tragic incident, which saw an F-7 BGI fighter jet crash into the Milestone School and College in Uttara, causing devastation on the ground.
The UAE joins a growing list of regional and global powers extending sympathy and support after one of the country’s worst aviation disasters involving civilians in recent memory.
Bangladesh has declared Tuesday a day of national mourning in honor of the victims.
