Major reshuffle in police high-ups

The government has transferred and posted 52 officers of the Bangladesh Police, holding the ranks of additional inspector general of police (IGP), deputy inspector general, additional DIG, and superintendent of police.

On Monday, the home ministry issued separate notifications regarding the matter.

Twelve officers serving as the acting additional IGP have been made additional IGPs, while six officers promoted to supernumerary positions have been made regular DIGs, read a notification.

Meanwhile, offices of the 12 DIGs have been reshuffled, and 14 officers of the SP rank have been transferred and posted, read other notifications.
