No clinical improvement in Hadi’s condition: Medical Board

The physical condition of Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of the Inqilab Moncho and an independent parliamentary candidate from the Dhaka-8 constituency, has shown no signs of improvement, doctors said on Sunday.

According to physicians, Hadi’s CT scan report is extremely poor, with fluid accumulation in his brain and no observable clinical improvement.

His condition remains critical, and a small fragment of the bullet is still lodged in his brain.

Dr Mohammad Abdul Ahad, a resident physician of the Neurosurgery Department at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, shared the update with reporters on Sunday afternoon in front of Evercare Hospital in the capital.

He said Hadi’s brain condition remains unchanged. Although six bags of blood have already been transfused, doctors have so far been unable to remove the clotted blood inside his head.

Dr Ahad added that while Hadi remains on life support, the condition of his lungs has also remained unchanged.

He is currently under close observation, and any decision regarding treatment abroad will be taken by his family.

According to medical sources, the gunshot was fired with extreme precision. The bullet entered through the right side of Hadi’s body and exited through the left.

As the impact occurred in a highly sensitive and critical area of the brain, doctors have decided not to proceed with any further surgery at this stage.
