Met office predicts rain throughout country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers throughout the country in the next 24 hours as of 9 am today (Thurday).

“Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over the country during the time,” said a met office press release issued here this morning.

Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.

River ports are advised to hoist cautionary signal number one.
