Tarique, Shehbaz for boosting bilateral ties

Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and his Pakistani counterpart Shehbaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting on Thursday on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting was held on the 34th floor of the Secretariat Building at the UN headquarters in New York, where the two leaders discussed various aspects of bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan.

They exchanged views constructively on matters of mutual interest, regional and international developments, and potential areas of cooperation for the welfare of the people of the two countries.

The two prime ministers stressed the importance of advancing bilateral relations based on mutual respect, understanding and cooperation.

Both sides also emphasised the importance of maintaining regular communication and dialogue on matters of common interest.
