Journalist Pranab Saha dies aged 66

Journalist Pranab Saha, joint editor of Channel i, died of old-age complications at a hospital in Dhaka on Thursday. He was 66.

He breathed his last around 6:15 am at Labaid Hospital.

Pranab Saha, also a permanent member of Jatiya Press Club (JPC), left behind his wife, only son and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

He started his journalism career with Daily Banglar Bani and later held many important posts in different media houses.

His body was kept at the JPC premises around 11 am and his cremation is scheduled to be held at his village home in Manikganj around 5 pm.

JPC President Muhammad Shafiqur Rahman and General Secretary Farida Yasmin expressed profound shock at his death.
