Ahsan Habib Palash has become the new Director General of RAB

Md. Ahsan Habib Polash, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Chittagong Range, has been appointed as the new Director General (DG) of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

The announcement was made on Monday (March 16) through a notification signed by Taufsif Ahmed, Deputy Secretary of the Police-1 Branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs, by order of the President. He succeeds the current RAB chief, A.K.M. Shahidur Rahman.

The notification stated that this order, issued in the public interest, will take effect immediately.
