“The government will provide free school uniforms to primary students”

During a parliamentary session on Wednesday (April 1), Prime Minister Tarique Rahman announced that the government will provide free school uniforms to 200,000 primary school children as part of its post-election commitments.

Addressing lawmakers, the Prime Minister revealed that $234 billion was laundered out of the country during the previous Awami League regime and emphasized that the current administration is focused on economic recovery.

He highlighted the success of family and farmer cards in stabilizing the economy and announced plans to distribute family cards to 40 million families over the next four years.

Additionally, he launched a massive afforestation drive to plant 15 million saplings this monsoon season, reinforcing the government's focus on both social welfare and environmental sustainability.
