27,300 tons of diesel came from Singapore today

On Friday (April 3), fuel supplies at Chittagong Port saw a significant boost as the Hong Kong-flagged vessel 'Yan Jing He' arrived from Singapore carrying 27,000 tons of diesel. According to Chittagong Port Authority Secretary Syed Refayat Hamim, another vessel from Malaysia is expected to dock by tonight, bringing the total daily diesel arrival to 61,000 tons.

Additionally, an LPG carrier from China is scheduled to arrive on Saturday. Farzin Hasan Moumita, Assistant Manager at BPC, noted that this marks the ninth diesel shipment since the outbreak of the Middle East conflict, highlighting the government's strategic shift toward alternative sources to maintain a stable national energy reserve amidst global volatility.
