PM to host tea for politicians Saturday


Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will hold a tea-party for the political leaders on Saturday (Feb 2) at her official residence Ganobhaban.

 

 

Leaders who participated in the 11th Parliamentary Election and were present during pre-polls dialogues have been invited to the exclusive party which is scheduled to begin at 3:30 pm.

The party will be held at the Ganobhaban lawn where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will exchange greetings with the leaders in attendance.

However, opposition alliance Jatiya Oikya Front, which took part both in the polls and dialogue with the premier, have officially declined the invitation.

According to the PM’s protocol wing, the political parties including the 14-party, Jatiya Party, Juktafront and Leftist parties have been invited.

Jatiya Party acting Chairman GM Quader will be in attendance, confirmed his personal secretary Mohammad Abu Tyeb.

The 14-party ally, Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon told Bangla Tribune that he will be attending the party and Jatiya Shamajtantrik Dal President Sharif Nurul Ambiya has also RSVP-ed yes to the invitation.

Four-time premier Hasina had previously hosted a tea-party for the diplomats stationed at Dhaka and many celebrities from the media industry.
