Hum and symptoms caused the death of 11 more people today


According to a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, 11 people died from measles and related symptoms in the last 24 hours.

Among the deceased, 10 were suspected cases while one was a confirmed measles fatality, with Dhaka division reporting the highest toll of six deaths.

From March 15 to April 7, the total death toll has reached 21 confirmed cases and 128 suspected cases.

The report further noted that 1,236 suspected patients were identified in the last 24 hours, bringing the total suspected cases to 9,883 since mid-March, while hospital admissions and discharge rates continue to be monitored closely amid the rising outbreak.
