Reserve theftAhsan H. Mansur will give a statement in a New York court
A New York court has ordered former Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur to provide a deposition on April 10, 2026, regarding the high-profile reserve heist case.
According to internal documents from the Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU), Dr. Mansur left for the United States on April 4 to undergo preparatory briefings with legal firms BSNK and Keystone before his scheduled testimony.
He is accompanied by BFIU Deputy Chief Md. Mafizur Rahman Khan Chowdhury, who will provide expert testimony and coordinate with the lead counsel, Cozen O’Connor.
The central bank will bear all travel and logistical expenses for the delegation, maintaining a level of protocol equivalent to that of a sitting Governor.
Due to the legal sensitivity of the mission, the official travel orders have been withheld from public disclosure on the bank's website.
