Mobile court seizes duplicate medicine worth Tk 100m in Barisal

A mobile court has seized huge amount of duplicate medicines worth Tk 100 million from different local and Indian companies in Sagardi area of Barisal district town.

Md Masum Billah, 27, and his associate Nur e Alam, 23, residents of Bakerganj upazila were arrested over the matter on Monday.

Executive Magistrate of Deputy Commission Md Ziaur Rahman operated the mobile court, reports UNB.

Executive of Drug Administration Aditi Shorna said they recovered duplicate medicines of ACI, Chemist, Jayson, Globe pharmaceuticals, and Indian cosmetics of Godrej, Gurudeb, Dabur Amla.

The factory has been sealed out and legal action will be taken against the arrestees, said Ziaur Rahman.
