CMJF gets new committee


Ziaur Rahman, editor of online news portal Arthosuchak, and Abu Ali, senior reporter of Daily Amader Shomoy, have been elected respectively as president and general secretary of the Capital Market Journalists’ Forum (CMJF).

They will lead the organisation in the 2022-23 term.

The Business Post Senior Reporter Niaz Mahmud Sohel was elected as the treasurer (finance secretary) of the new committee.  

Seventy-one of total 74 voters cast their vote in the election held at the CMJF office in Dhaka on Friday. An annual general meeting was also held on the day.  

Besides, Jebun Nesa Alo, senior reporter of The Business Standard, was elected as vice president, while Giash Uddin, chief reporter of Banijjo Protidin, as joint secretary of the organisation.

The other executive members are - Rokon Uddin Mahmud (Kaler Kantho), Rafiqul Islam (The Business Standard), Alamgir Hossain (Jamuna TV), Babul Barman (Financial Express) and Mostafizur Rahman (New Age).
