70 percent of people have voted in favor of state reform: Shafiqul Islam Masud

During a parliamentary session on Tuesday (March 31), Patuakhali-2 MP Dr. Shofiqul Islam Masud criticized the government for failing to prioritize the structural state reforms that 70% of the population voted for.

He expressed concern that the focus on upcoming elections and administrative reshuffles has overshadowed the pursuit of justice and the original spirit of the "July Sanad."

Dr. Masud pointed out inconsistencies in the appointment of administrators across 11 city corporations and district commissioners, suggesting that partisan interests are still prevailing.

He emphasized that the youth-led uprising was not for mere constitutional amendments as proposed by the previous regime, but for a fundamental transformation of the state, which the current administration is reportedly neglecting.
