Foreign Minister leaves Dhaka for the United States and Turkey


 

Foreign Minister Dr. Khalilur Rahman has left Dhaka for the United States and Turkey to mobilize support for Bangladesh’s candidacy for the presidency of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He departed from Dhaka on Saturday morning (March 14). On his way to New York, the Foreign Minister will make a brief stopover in Turkey.

An official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BSS that during his stay in Turkey en route to New York, Dr. Khalilur Rahman will participate in several meetings and programs. These meetings are part of Bangladesh’s diplomatic efforts to secure the General Assembly presidency.

During the visit, the Foreign Minister will hold discussions with diplomats and relevant representatives from various countries. It is expected that through these engagements, he will strive to further strengthen international support in favor of Bangladesh’s candidacy.
